Wisconsin has nearly 14,000 bridges spanning state and local roadways, according to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. Of these, almost 9,000 are located along local roadways and are the responsibility of local governments. TIC offers resources and workshops in bridge design and construction, inspections, maintenance, bridge rail and safety hardware for local government officials and others involved in road maintenance.
