Bart Skarzynski has degrees from Yale, Johns Hopkins, and The Ohio State University. He’s an associate faculty associate in the College of Engineering at the University of Wisconsin—Madison, where he teaches at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Past and present, his subjects include composition, technical communication, technical presentations, professional writing, and engineering ethics, the last of which he has discussed at conferences and taught in professional engineering certification workshops. His work for Engineering Professional Development includes EPD 617 Communicating Technical Information and EPD 701 Writing for Professionals, which he co-developed and co-teaches with Janel Miller.

Before teaching at UW, he taught for five years in the College of Engineering at The Ohio State University and worked in the financial industry in New York City.
