Day 1

  • Explore what leadership is and the qualities that enable someone to lead.
  • Discover the New Leadership Paradigm.
  • Develop your emotional intelligence.
  • Use a Collaborative Mindset when interacting with others on your team.

Day 2

  • Develop a Coaching with Compassion vs. a Coaching for Compliance relationship with your employees.
  • Manage employee performance within the GREAT Performance Management Cycle.
  • Build employee ownership for their own performance success.
  • Diagnose performance problems: The Nine-Plus-One Common Causes of Performance Problems.
  • Develop goals for the performance coaching conversation/performance review.
  • Provide constructive feedback and conduct a fearless performance review.
  • Create a motivating and engaging work environment.

Jeff Russell

Jeffrey Russell, co-owner of Russell Consulting, Inc., specializes in helping organizations successfully respond to the challenges of continuous change. With a focus on leadership, strategic thinking, leading change, performance management, and creative problem solving, Jeff has worked with organizations as diverse as Fortune 500 firms, social and public sector organizations, and small family businesses. Jeff received his Master of Science Degree in Industrial Relations from the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he serves as an adjunct faculty member at University of Wisconsin-Madison and UW-Milwaukee. He also teaches for the UW-Madison and UW-LaCrosse Small Business Development Centers.
