Become SMRP Certified!
If you’re interested in becoming SMRP certified, consider taking the Reliability Centered Maintenance course and exam from UW-Madison, taught by Ramesh Gulati (one of the exam’s creators).
Last spring, eight individuals took and passed the exam as part of the Maintenance Management Certificate program. The exam is sponsored by the Society for Maintenance and Reliability Professionals Certifying Organization (SMRPCO), which works to promote and advance the knowledge and application of maintenance, reliability and physical asset management while recognizing those who seek higher education and certification from their peers.
Earn your Maintenance Management Certificate (MMC) by completing five elective courses from the MMC series held in Madison, Wisconsin, or online. Attend as many courses as you wish, in any order.
Timeframe: 40 hours of class time. Typically, students need two years to complete the certificate.
Cost: Individual course costs range from $1,295 to $1,495
